Lois Haughian Parmenter was born and raised in the Miles City, Montana area. Miles City being "The Cow Capital of the World and home of the Miles City Bucking Horse Sale" put her in contact with the Ag/Western culture her entire life. She is one of nine children which constituted the need to know, not only the country way of life but also the art of homemaking. This is where being a seamstress began as a necessity. From necessity to hobby, her love for sewing continued her entire life. This love enhanced her vision of an inherent gift for recognizing quality in material as well as colors that would appeal to the people for which she has directed her tallents. By continuously updating her fabric, you are guaranteed the latest in quality and color on the market. Lois, being the hard working conciencious person she is, her "Wild Rags", a term for the western bandanas and scarves used by the old cowboys for warmth and dress, are constructed to perfection. They are very luxurious as well as durable. Each Wild Rag has been thread pulled in order to insure it's perfect size as well as having been sewn with a machine roll-stiched hem that will last forever. The hems are sewn with precision and will not become frayed after much wearing. Lois constructed all of the many scarves which she marketed, herself, until April of 2010. At that time, due to demand, she has found the need to hire an assistant to meet this demand. Lois is currently affiliated with the Made in Montana Program.
